Jonathan Pilafas

I’m a Business Analyst with a background in analytics consulting, reporting automation, and cross-functional process improvement. My work sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and data, helping teams turn complex information into clear reporting, scalable workflows, and actionable insight.

In my current role at Amsive, I support customer profitability and operational reporting across Estimating & Procurement, FP&A, Accounting, and Operations. I work with financial and operational data to improve reporting accuracy, strengthen visibility into margins and performance, and support process improvements that make analysis faster, more reliable, and more useful for leadership.

My experience includes SQL-based analysis, dashboard development, Power BI, Excel, Domo, Snowflake, API integrations, data validation, and workflow automation. I’ve also built and maintained custom connectors, supported scalable reporting environments, and created documentation that helps technical and business teams work more effectively.

I’m driven by the challenge of making data more accessible, trusted, and actionable, whether through reporting, automation, process design, or business analysis.

• Partner with cross-functional leaders across Estimating & Procurement, FP&A, Accounting, and Operations to strengthen customer profitability and support executive decision-making.
• Analyze financial and operational data across multiple ERP and accounting environments to improve visibility into revenue, labor, material costs, margins, and performance trends.
• Build, maintain, and improve reporting in Power BI and Excel for month-end analysis, current month and YTD performance, and customer profitability insights.

Church Metrics Connector in Domo

I built the Church Metrics Connector for Domo to help churches track key data like attendance, giving, and salvations in real time. By pulling from Church Metrics API endpoints, the connector enables leaders to combine engagement data across campuses and visualize it through custom dashboards for better, faster decisions.

Custom Date & Timestamp Formatting in Analyzer

I had the privilege of being the first Domo community member to contribute to the official Domo Knowledge Base with my article, “Custom Date & Timestamp Formatting in Analyzer.” This guide helps users format date and timestamp fields directly in Domo Analyzer to improve clarity and consistency in dashboards. It’s been an honor to give back to the Domo community and contribute to a platform I use every day.

Hoops, KenPom, Data, and Madness: The Ultimate NCAA Dashboard

I was honored to have my March Madness Data Analysis Dashboard featured on the official Domo on Data blog! Built using KenPom data, this dashboard lets users explore NCAA tournament insights with visualizations on key performance metrics like offensive vs. defensive efficiency, turnover percentage, and more. It even includes a “Championship DNA” section to highlight the strongest contenders. I'm grateful to have my work recognized and to help others experience March Madness through the lens of data.

NFL Playoff Bracket

Custom-coded interactive bracket tool replicating the logic of the current NFL playoff structure. Built using vanilla HTML, CSS, and jQuery, with dynamic rendering of matchups and team progression across Wildcard, Divisional, Conference, and Super Bowl rounds.
